The all-new Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman is designed to celebrate indoor-outdoor living, bringing 382 guestrooms and suites to the island’s famed Seven Mile Beach.

The Challenge

Second Wave was tasked with branding three distinct F&B outlets from scratch for the all-new Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman, a resort designed to blur the line between indoor and outdoor living along Seven Mile Beach. Each outlet needed its own atmosphere, personality, and story while still feeling rooted in the character of Cayman and cohesive within the larger resort experience. We were responsible for naming, brand architecture, storytelling, and the full visual identity systems, along with all guest-facing collateral, from menus and signage to packaging and on-site brand touchpoints.

Breadkind Market Golden Days of Enchantment

Inspired by the picturesque allure of meandering through faraway market streets and the vibrant international spirit of Grand Cayman, Breadkind Market captures the essence of elevated coastal living through a unique fusion of vibrant energy and coastal charm with artisanal prepared foods. It celebrates the romance of travel and those unforgettable childhood vacations where time seemed to stand still and every moment was filled with joy and discovery. This era of endless days, laughter, and simple pleasures is a testament to the profound enchantment of childhood and the timeless allure of island life.

Visual Language Outsized. Playful. Joyful.

The concept seamlessly blends Italian market heritage with Caymanian spirit, brought to life through bold colors, playful textures, and a suite of hand-drawn illustrations that evoke a childlike wonder. The brand voice leans into cheeky, familiar expressions and a bright, joyful tone, creating a world that feels warm, welcoming, and just a little larger than life.

Hitide/Lotide Pool & Rooftop Bar Feel the Flow

Both a vibrant social hub and a serene escape, the pool bar is more than a place to unwind; it’s a place where every experience feels unique. Guided by the magic of the sea and sky, it’s where a day by the pool transforms into something unforgettable.

The design embraces an airy, organic, free-flowing aesthetic, with fluid lines and natural textures that echo the rhythm of the sea. A palette of sun-washed ocean hues and rich, earthy tones creates a dynamic atmosphere that moves effortlessly from lively to refined. Subtle celestial and nature-inspired graphic elements add a touch of vibrancy and elegance, balancing relaxed island energy with the polish of a high-end tropical resort.

Salt + Cinder All Day Dining Elemental. Transformational. The Essence of Land & Sea

Salt + Cinder is a sensorial journey through the raw beauty of land and sea. By day, it's fresh, airy, and sun-drenched; by night, it glows with firelight and coastal warmth. From ember-charred seafood to citrus-laced cocktails, every dish is shaped by elemental forces and rooted in local bounty. Set against sweeping ocean views and dusky skies, the space invites guests to slow down and savor. More than a restaurant, Salt + Cinder is an experience of transformation, where bold flavors, rustic elegance, and island spirit come together in perfect balance.

Visual Language Natural. Minimal. Essential.

The design is minimalist and naturalistic, utilizing a warm, refined palette and subtle textures to evoke the essence of fire, salt, and earth. Collateral is elevated but understated, premium papers, bold typography, and tactile details that feel handcrafted rather than flashy. The result is rustic yet elegant, grounded in Cayman’s landscape, and quietly confident in its simplicity.
